The Achievement Academy serves the Undergraduate Nupes, offering them special Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. discounts for school-related materials, connecting them with Nupes in the field of study/work through LinkedIn and other offerings. Students spoke about the assistance they would like to receive and learned more about how to reach out, where to find information, and the available resources. Brother Johnson was obliged to help, and the students of all grades gleaned information to take back to their provinces and chapters. The Brothers got up early on Tuesday morning, dressed in their suit and tie, and headed to the University Club of Tampa for a session with Regions Bank.
Since 1946, the University Club of Tampa has served as one of the preemi- nent business and social dining facilities in Tampa Bay. To be clear, this was a massive opportunity for the partici- pants because it is a members only club. They were welcomed by Brother David Christian, Senior Vice President at Regions and Local Planning Chairman, for the 86th Grand Chapter Meeting. After the welcome from Brother Christian, they were taught how to earn and maintain good credit. They learned about credit cards, mortgages, auto loans, and the importance of investing. This was the most engaging session based on the brothers’ questions. There were so many meaningful questions the presenter had to rush through the presentation because it was so impactful
and informative. Because the brothers were so impressive, a recruitment ses- sion was explicitly done for the LEAD Kappa participants. Another interactive session focused on communication and professionalism and their time with Regions Bank® concluded with a panel of leaders in the corporate world mod- erated by our director Brother Smith. This moment was also profound as they could see this program’s leader in his natural element. Following the departure of the Regions session, the brothers had their last executive panel. The panel featured four impressive Nupes: NBA player Langston Galloway, Politician Hon. Les Miller, Former NBA player Johnny Newman, Kappa Foundation Vice-Chairman Ron Berryman, and
