This Conclave shattered records for the greatest registration and attendance numbers, and a feature of the meeting was recently retired Grand Historian Founder Guy L. Grant being named Grand Historian Emeritus. His retirement from this office reached a pinnacle with the completion of the 1st Edition of The Story . Although he was not one of the authors, his invaluable work in gathering primary source material served as the foundation from which the book was written. Pre-orders for the 1st Edition were placed from Kappa Alpha Psi Journal ads, while other brothers purchased their copy on-site at this Conclave. Founders Byron K. Armstrong and Edward G. Irvin, 14th Grand Polemarch Frank Summers, and other Kappa luminaries joined Founder Grant to
autograph the brother’s books. Five subsequent editions and 56 years later, the 6th Edition was pub- lished. Similar to the promotional launch of the 1st Edition at the 54th Grand Chapter Meeting, the 6th Edition was officially unveiled at the 86th Grand Chapter Meeting, July 19-22, 2023, and offered for pre-or- der. Since then, a robust marketing
campaign was initiated on social media and advertisements in the Journal .
