“We should take con- trol of the narrative of who we are and what we represent. One way to proactively brand ourselves outside of what is displayed on social media is to share our story in the world to a broader audience beyond what our membership may articulate. I suggest an organized effort, specifically to the places that collect and house learning resources. We don’t have to invent

university libraries to understand how well Kappa Alpha Psi and the other Divine 9 (D9) organizations have placed their respective history books and where we fall short. He provided this analysis to Grand Historian Scott, who forwarded the study to Grand Polemarch Jimmy McMikle. Thus far, a few chapters donated the 6th Edition to a collegiate library or a school’s historical archives.

NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY

Brother Willard S. Evans, Jr. (Evan- ston (IL) Alumni 2019), spearheaded and scheduled Theta and Evanston (IL) Alumni Chapters’ 6th Edition book donation to the Northwestern University Library. The chapters arranged the donation ceremony during Northwestern University’s Homecoming Weekend, where the school hosted its first-ever football game against an HBCU, Howard University. The book donation occurred on Friday, October 6th, on the steps in front of the Charles Deering Library.

DONATION TO LIBRARIES INITIATIVE

One of Grand Historian Scott’s key post-book launch initiatives is to encourage alumni and undergraduate chapters to purchase and donate a copy of the book to a library in their area and for the undergraduate chapters to donate to their school library. Grand Historian Scott stated the importance of this initiative,
