Bases Most contract furniture swivel seating bases are made from glass fiber reinforced nylon or cast aluminum. The more glass fiber and the amount of “ribbing”—which is the lattice work underneath the base— determines its strength. Our nylon bases all have an extensive ribbing structure and robust reinforcement. Both the nylon & aluminum bases have all been extensively tested & approved for use in heavy duty and multiple ship 24/7 applications.
Casters Additionally, our casters are all approved for heavy-duty, multiple shift, 24/7 use. They come in a wide array of closed & open design styles. The open design casters in particular have an extra part on the stem that has noise reduction qualities. All designs offer a safety brake feature that is either integrated or optional.
