M&E CONTRACTOR The design, supply, installation and commissioning of mechanical and electrical services were completed by Harvey Group for this BREEAM Excellent project. This included high-efficiency Ultra Low NOx LTHW and UFH, natural ventilation and heat recovery, domestic services and rainwater harvesting, general power and data, high-efficiency LED lighting, fire and security, PV systems and BIM level 2 3D modelling. Harvey Group and main contractor OHMG have a strong existing relationship and partnered early in the project to ensure delivery in compliance with stringent regulations. Co-ordinating its M&E services within a 3D environment alongside the wider OHMG team allowed for timely decision-making and reduction of on-site remedial works. Ryan McLernon, M&E Director, said, “We are proud to have delivered the MEP design and construction of this fantastic new facility. Boasting high efficiency, state-of-the-art M&E services, Ulidia Integrated College will be used and enjoyed by pupils in the area for many years to come. “Being from Carrickfergus, I am particularly proud that we have successfully delivered this new education facility that will benefit the wider community and give future generations every opportunity to excel.”
CCL Interiors Ltd supplied suspended and sports hall ceilings, acoustic panels, partitions and steel encasements for the Ulidia Integrated College project. Reuniting with previous project partner OHMG, the project proceeded smoothly without any major issues emerging. Shaw Montgomery, Director, said, “As quite a sizable school, it was a nice project to be involved in. We were delighted with how it turned out and the school will be there for the next few generations of children to enjoy.” Established in Belfast in 1974, CCL Interiors is an accredited supplier of specialist interior fit-out solutions to customers across the UK and Ireland. Its growing portfolio of education contracts includes ongoing works on the new £33m Down High School in Downpatrick alongside main contractor GRAHAM, scheduled for completion in summer 2025. CCL Interiors’ client base spans the public and private sectors, also extending to commercial, residential, hospitality, leisure and healthcare projects.
