Guyaume Boulianne Guyaume Boulianne est né à Saint-Boniface, au Manitoba, et a grandi à Meteghan-Centre, en Nouvelle- Écosse. Comme musicien, il maîtrise les instruments à cordes et est actuellement mandoliniste dans le groupe P’tit Belliveau. Il étend son exploration de la musique et de la poésie dans son premier recueil, Nâ, écrit en acadjonne, une variété du français propre à la Baie Sainte-Marie, en Nouvelle-Écosse. Guyaume est également conteur et se démarque comme finaliste pour équipe Canada dans la discipline « conte » du volet culturel des Jeux de la Francophonie 2023, à Kinshasa. Amoureux de tous les arts de la scène et de toutes les variétés de langues, Guyaume fait profiter les auditoires du Canada et du monde de ses expériences, tant par ses cordes que par ses mots.
Garihanna Jean-Louis Comédienne depuis plus de vingt ans, Garihanna devient en 2017 la première femme noire diplômée de l’École Nationale de l’Humour. Avec une énergie fulgurante et un humour à saveur mangue-érable, cette bipatride fait connaître son univers exotique et coloré à travers le monde dans trois différentes langues. Elle a reçu plusieurs prix et distinctions depuis ses débuts dans le monde de l’humour, dont le prix d’artiste de l’année du ZOOFEST en 2022 et un prix Gémeaux en 2021 et le titre de comédienne de l’année en 2019. Sa vaste expérience de comédienne et d’humoriste, de même que sa polyvalence, font d’elle une facilitatrice de premier ordre et une conférencière capable d’inspirer et de mettre en valeur la créativité, l’ouverture d’esprit et la sensibilité des membres du public. Elle dit souvent que l’humour est culturel, mais le rire universel. Quoi de mieux que le rire pour rester positif, inclusif et ouvert sur le monde.

De plus, grâce à mon copain, j’ai rencontré un groupe incroyable qui m’a convaincue de me lancer dans ce sport. » Actuellement en quatrième année en sciences de l’activité physique à l’Université d’Ottawa (uOttawa), Doré poursuit également une maîtrise en physiothérapie à uOttawa et s’entraîne quatre fois par semaine. « Chaque semaine, mon entraîneur me prépare des séances d’entraînement, et je choisis les jours qui conviennent le mieux à mon emploi du temps scolaire et profes- sionnel », a-t-elle expliqué. « Une séance typique dépend de la période de l’année. En préparation à une compétition, je condi- tionne mon corps pour soulever des charges lourdes. Cette phase dure environ huit à douze semaines. Pendant la “hors saison”, on se concentre davantage sur l’amélioration de mes points faibles et l’augmentation de ma force musculaire. »Après cette belle performance aux championnats nationaux, Doré se tourne maintenant vers les Championnats mondiaux classiques de dynamophilie sub-juniors, qui auront lieu au Costa Rica du 24 août au 5 septembre. Elle y représentera le Canada sur la scène internationale. « En remportant les nationaux, j’ai obtenu cette magnifique opportunité de représenter le Canada », a-t-elle déclaré. « Participer à une compétition internationale pour mon pays a toujours été un rêve pour moi, et j’ai vraiment hâte d’affronter 19 autres championnes. »
Elle ne pratique la dynamophilie en com- pétition que depuis deux ans, mais la native de Rockland, Véronic Doré, se fait déjà un nom dans ce sport. Tout récemment, l’ancienne élève de l’École secondaire catholique L’Escale, âgée de 21 ans, a décroché la première place dans la catégorie féminine des 63 kilogrammes (kg) aux Championnats nationaux 2025 de l’Union canadienne de dynamophilie, qui se sont déroulés du 28 février au 1er mars au Centre des congrès de l’Exhibition à Moose Jaw, en Saskatchewan. C’est la deuxième fois que Doré participe à une compétition nationale, après avoir terminé première dans la catégorie junior des 69 kg lors de l’édition précédente à l’Île-du-Prince-Édouard. « Après mon troisième soulevé de terre, qui m’a assuré la médaille d’or, j’étais très heureuse », a-t-elle déclaré. « Dès que j’ai soulevé la barre du sol, j’ai su que j’allais réussir et gagner. Lorsque les juges ont validé mon essai, j’ai sauté de joie et j’ai commencé à pleurer. J’ai pensé à tous les efforts que j’avais fournis pour en arriver là. » Doré a grandi en jouant au hockey, mais à un certain moment, elle a arrêté le sport pour se concentrer sur ses études. Cepen- dant, son esprit de compétition ne l’a jamais quittée, et c’est grâce à son copain qu’elle a découvert la dynamophilie. Road win in Nepean After getting back into the win column against Cornwall, the Nats looked to extend their winning streak to two games as they hit the road to take on the Nepean Raiders on Sunday, March 2. Trailing 4-3 heading into the third period, the Nats responded with three unanswered goals to earn a 6-4 road victory. Joshua Penney scored twice in the third period, including the game-winning goal, in a game where the Nats fired 61 shots at Raiders goaltender Jack Gedraitis. Also scoring for Rockland were Alex Kel- loway, Mathys Laurent, Anthony Hall, and Mathis Baril. Up Next Rockland looks to close out the regular season with upcoming matchups against the Hawkesbury Hawks (March 7) and the Carleton Place Canadians (March 9) on the road. It didn’t take long for the Rockland Nationals to bounce back and return to the win column. Less than a week after suffering their first loss of 2025 and snapping an impressive 21- game winning streak, the Rockland Nationals rebounded by shutting out the Cornwall Colts at home and defeating the Nepean Raiders on the road. With the regular season winding down, the Rockland Nationals have not only secured their spot in the Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL) playoffs but have also clin- ched the league’s Yzerman Division and won the CCHL’s regular-season title. With four games left in the 2024-2025 CCHL regular season, the Nats hold a record of 44-6-1-0, good for 89 points. Rockland has scored a league-best 234 goals while allowing a league-low 118 goals.
