Performance management and training processes •

Oversee the annual appraisal cycle, ensuring appraising managers and heads of teams are trained and supported with the process Establish a cross departmental framework for managing staff training and work with heads of teams to plan and implement staff training needs Establish a performance related pay review and co-ordinate the annual pay review process in conjunction with the People & Culture Director and closely monitor the external market to ensure WLZ pay rates remain competitive

Ensure effective recruitment strategies and practices to enable WLZ to attract and retain the best talent Ensure that WLZ delivers on fair selection, and that the charity has the benefit of implementing current best practice on HR issue Ensure compliance with UK government immigration law regarding right to work and Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks Recruitment and selection

Work with the People & Culture Officer to ensure all aspects of payroll are administered correctly and on time Oversight of WLZ internal communications and intranet (the Link) Active involvement with WLZ Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Group
