How Different Colors Shape Your Home’s Atmosphere One of the first things people do after moving into a new home is to choose the paint colors for all the rooms. It’s a big project you shouldn’t take lightly, as you’re essentially establishing the environment of your new living space. Different paint colors produce various moods, feelings, emotions, and thoughts. You should carefully consider your palette before throwing a new coat on the wall. Paint With Purpose

PASSIONATE While red is often associated with anger or love, it also promotes feelings of energy and passion. When you spend time around the color red, you quickly push off feelings of fatigue and experience increased motivation and confidence. It could be a great color for a home office (but maybe not the most ideal for a bedroom). HAPPY Who doesn’t want to feel happy inside their own home? Yellow and orange are often associated with positive thoughts and feelings. Paint your kitchen, living room, bedroom, or any other area of your home a shade of yellow or orange, and you’ll start smiling from ear to ear every time you see it. CALM Looking at the ocean or a clear blue sky brings feelings of calmness, serenity, and tranquility, so adding some blue walls to your home should do the same. Blue is an excellent color for relaxation and can be beautiful in a bedroom, dining room, or living room. STABLE Whites and grays are some of the most common colors seen inside homes and for good reason. They provide a blank canvas, allowing you to design your room as you see fit. CREATIVE If you’re an aspiring artist, chef, or writer, you may want to consider adding some purple to your home. Purple walls will boost your creative impulses while soothing your soul, whether in your home office, kitchen, or living room.

Here are five emotions and feelings you may experience after painting a room a specific color.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS ARE SAYING “We loved working with all of you when building our house! This was the fifth house we have had built and the best experience of all. We absolutely love our new home and thank every one of you for such a positive experience!” –GAIL K. “This is the fourth house I’ve built, and by far, this has been the best experience I have had building a home. My inspector said, ‘I see one out of 1,000 homes, and this is the best built to code.’ He found one minor detail that was fixed that day. If I ever move, I will buy another SR home.” –NEIL W.
