Dear MAAG Americas Team:

We have finished the first quarter with good results in March, but unable to catch-up the gap from January and February. Bookings came in on target for the month (with some good projects for HMA) and we are hoping that this trend will continue. However, the recent announcement and implementation on tariffs between the US and almost every other country does add to the uncertainty we have seen since the beginning of the year. Our business heavily depends on imports from Europe where we are now facing higher import costs that need to be passed on to customers in the US thus making our equipment more expensive. At the same time, we export considerable amounts of equipment (i.e., dryers out of Eagle Rock) to China and other countries which have also implemented their own tariffs on US products, making our equipment less competitive in those markets as well. All we can do at this moment is to focus on our operational performance, making sure that customers receive their orders on time and with the quality that they expect. To stay competitive, we will also continue initiatives to make our equipment less expensive and more streamlined for manufacturing. This is where 0Dover and many of the other initiatives come in. Times are uncertain yet if each of us focuses on improvements that are under our control, I am sure that we will come out of this stronger than we were! -Paul Merich

INTEGRATION NEWS The first quarter of the integration has passed rapidly and many have asked, "What is going on regarding large dryers?” While it may seem quiet, the diligent focus is happening in the background and not yet visible. The team is learning as much as possible about the product line, inside/outside processes, necessary equipment, fixtures, jigs, vendors, etc. All of this is critical for us to manufacture and assemble these products within Maag Gala.

What is the focus right now?

• Engineering is incorporating drawings into our system in order to manufacture using our current equipment. • Training sessions have been conducted in Eagle Rock and Minnesota for Inside Sales / Sales Engineering and Welding / Mechanical. • Granby facility in Roanoke, VA - we ran into a delay when sourcing the crane for assembly. We needed a minimum height, floor to hook to lift and stand the D1050 dryer. The height of the building was posing a challenge. It took time to achieve, and we have sourced the crane that will not require major facility modifications. The crane order is now placed, and we anticipate its installation completed mid- November.

When will we see something happening in production?

• The blades and kickers for the first D1050 rotors are scheduled to be lasered mid-April, the drum and end plates have been ordered with a scheduled delivery of May 5. • Fixtures and jigs scheduled to ship from CD April 30. • Welding of the first rotor is scheduled to start May 12.

INTEGRATION NEWS

(Continued) • Welding for the D1050 dryer is currently scheduled to begin June 23. • Welding and assembly for the first D1050 will be conducted in EGR. • Completion is scheduled for August 22. What about sales? At the end of the first quarter, capital team has quoted $12M+ and received PO’s / LOI for $1.4M+. Aftermarket has received PO’s totaling $500K+. Thank you for your continued support, and please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. -George Benoit

Welding Fabrication Competition 2025 Welding Fabrication Competition 2025, SkillsUSA Virginia State Championships took place on April 5th at Berglund Center in Roanoke. Skills USA is the #1 workforce development organization for students. The organization has competitions for the different trades throughout the school systems. These competitions are made possible by local industry donating materials, consumables, and staff to help facilitate, judge, and organize. MAAG Gala has been involved in helping with these competitions for more than 20 years. We do this to help give back to the community as well as to help promote and preserve the welding and fabrication trades both of which play a crucial role in the success of MAAG. This level of involvement in our local technical programs is important for our continued growth and hiring strategy. On the day of the competition 6 judges. including Jason VanNess, Welding/Fabrication Team Lead at MAAG EGR, from 4 different businesses spent the entire day making sure rules were followed and deciding what competitor was the best at following the print and making the required welds. The winner was a student from Jackson River Technical Center in Alleghany County about 25 minutes north of our Eagle Rock facility. The winner will have an opportunity to compete at the national competition in June in Atlanta Georgia.

ATDM Career Fair

MAAG EGR team represented the company at an Accelerated Training in Defense Manufacturing (ATDM) Career Fair. In collaboration with the U.S. Department of Defense and other partners, the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research is leading the ATDM workforce program, rapidly developing skilled workers to enter the defense industrial base. We are excited to advance this new partnership focused in developing skills in the areas we need now and in the future.

Mason Kincaid, PLC System Testing Technician from Eagle Rock, is now living his dream of being a farmer. At age 14, he began his farming journey on his grandfather's beautiful land in West Virginia. When his grandfather passed the land down to him, Mason knew he would fully pursue his lifelong passion. Hobbies The first animal Mason acquired was a sheep that he showcases at the West Virginia State Fair. Since that initial purchase, he has diversified his farm to include a variety of animals, such as ducks, pigs, cows, chickens, turkeys, and donkeys. The West Virginia State Fair, known for its livestock exhibitions, has provided Mason with many opportunities for success. Mason has consistently performed well, earning various awards. His achievements at the fair have elevated the profile of his farm and inspired other aspiring young farmers in the community.

Mason's involvement in showing livestock was influenced by a family friend who previously led a 4-H program in Neola, WV. Under this mentorship, Mason developed the skills necessary to showcase animals effectively. Currently, Mason exhibits pigs, sheep, and cattle at the West Virginia State Fair.

Notably, Mason has discovered that his cows prefer Doritos, which help keep them calm during shows, while his pigs enjoy miniature marshmallows as a treat. When asked about his favorite animal on the farm, Mason expressed his compassion for a bottle-fed calf that continues to hold a special fondness and mutual bond.

Hi Everyone! My name is Judge and I am 10 weeks old. This is me…

I was lucky to have George and Karen pick me from the litter and now I live with them and my new best friend, Riley, who is 6 years old. This is Riley….

We are both Boston Terriers and like to have fun and be goofy at times. Riley is teaching me the rules but still finds time to play tug with me.

I like riding in the Jeep, and I heard them say something about some place called the beach. Sounds fun and I can’t wait to go there!
