Hello and welcome to our 17th annual production sale. We first want to thank our past buyers for their confidence and support of our program, we are grateful for the support and friends we have made being in this business. As you can see, we have transitioned to selling age-advantaged bulls this year. As we looked to the future of our program, we recognized it was time to make changes to become more efficient with less labor force. With this in mind, we have decided to move our calving date back to align with our commercial herd, which will also shorten our calving season. The bulls were run on grass over the summer and were brought into the lot on Sept 15th. Since then, they have been fed a complete mixed ration consisting of chopped hay, silage, corn, distillers and a complete mineral program. The bulls did not have creep feed. We always try to grow the bulls and not push them. We take pride in representing our cattle honestly, absolutely no “fluffed” numbers or information. We believe in trying to breed the most balanced and functional cattle possible, so we do not chase any one individual trait. All the bulls are semen tested, soundness evaluated and have genomic-enhanced EPDs.

The bulls are ready to go to work for you. As we transitioned to this first offer of age advantaged bulls, we were looking for a way to make sure that we did not skip a sale and to provide our customers with what they have come to expect from our offering without sacrificing quality. We didn’t want to simply dig deeper into our bull pen, so we worked with our friends at TNT Simmentals to acquire some extra, high- quality bulls to help provide a strong offering for both the 2025 and 2026 sales. We feel this allowed us to offer some of our top-end bulls in both sales, as well make both offerings as balanced as possible before having our full force bull crop avail- able in 2027. If anyone has questions about how we are moving forward, we would love to visit about how we can continue to offer you the quality you have seen in our program at a more developed age, which we feel will offer extra advantages to our customers. We encourage you to view the bulls at the ranch any time before the sale. We also will hold an open house on Saturday, January 31st from noon to 5 p.m. This year’s sale will be completely online only at DVAuction.com. If you are unfamiliar with this format, please call and we will help explain and can help get you set up to bid, as you will have to be approved in order to bid. Also, visitors to the ranch to view the bulls will be entered into a drawing to receive a $500 sale credit. If you are unable to come to view the bulls, give us a call and we would be happy to talk over the bulls to help you find the best options to fit your individual needs. Videos of each bull will be available for viewing on dvauction.com or our website crosshairsimmental.com. This year again, we will have some of our great customers offering some ex- cellent top-end commercial heifers. The heifers will be at each individual ranch and can also be viewed there, so be sure to check them out as well.
