TROY SPECKMAN, PGA HEAD GOLF PROFESSIONAL PRO SHOP UPDATE

It has been another crazy season. We have seen a record number of rounds played and some great golf being played! We have welcomed several new residents and said goodbye to several residents as well. The Club Championship is scheduled for Sunday, April 16th. All play starts on the first hole unless otherwise directed by the Starter or Pro Shop. Every player is required to check in prior to the start of their round.

If you would like to play in the afternoon prior to 5:00pm, please put your request in Chelsea to secure your time. Proper golf attire is required on the course as well as in all practice areas. Guest fees must be paid on the day of play or if you play after business hours, you must pay the next day.

GOLF COURSE UPDATE As we head into April, drought conditions have been persistent throughout our area. As mentioned last month, expect the lakes to continue to lower until we receive some appreciable rain. Until rainy season arrives, we will be gradually increasing irrigation application frequencies and amounts to the golf course as the turf requires. Expect increased hand and sprinkler watering events during golf play to tackle stubborn, dry areas that will periodically appear. Our department is currently preparing for the summer golf course cultivation practices and the summer schedule of events can be found on the Seven Lakes website and at the Pro Shop.

J.R. IRWIN DIRECTOR OF GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE

As a reminder, the greens will receive their first Aerification on Monday, April 24th, so the course will be closed for that day. Beginning May 3rd, the course will be closed every Wednesday for maintenance throughout the summer months. For those residents departing Seven Lakes for the summer, we wish you safe travels, and to all, we wish you a happy Easter holiday.
