Fall in the Blue Ridge The historic Clifton in Charlottesville, Virginia with its sweeping views of the Blue Ridge Mountains provides the perfect backdrop for our Fall catalogue. Originally built in 1799 as the home of Martha Jefferson and her husband, Thomas Mann Randolph Jr., situated just down the mountain from her father’s home—Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello. Today, it is an inviting retreat for visitors to the region, many of whom are coming to visit Mr. Jefferson’s University and my beloved alma mater, The University of Virginia. Our gracious hosts at the Clifton went out of their way to open their doors, share their warm hospitality, and allow us to experience all of the Clifton’s majesty and grandeur.
