Sustainable Technology (CONT’D FROM PAGE 37)

In opening remarks during an advanced press event, company CEO Jean-Pascal Bobst said the company has set a goal to shape the future of packaging, and to do so in a sustainable way. As such, Bobst has established four pillars: Digitalization, automation, connectivity, and sus- tainability.

stewardship goes beyond delivering packaging prepress and flexographic printing plates, according to the compa- ny. It extends to every aspect of its operations. Key highlights of Printron’s sustainability initiatives include: 1. Advanced Equipment and Processes : Printron has made strategic investments in equipment and processes designed to minimize environmental impact while max- imizing efficiency. By leveraging the latest technologies, Printron optimizes resource utilization and reduces waste generation throughout the production cycle. 2. Energy Efficiency Measures : Printron implements energy-efficient practices to reduce carbon emissions and minimize energy consumption. Through the adoption of energy-saving technologies such as LED plate exposure, Printron strives to mitigate its environmental footprint while maintaining operational excellence. 3. Waste Reduction and Recycling : Printron employs comprehensive waste reduction and recycling programs to minimize waste generation and maximize resource re- covery. By implementing closed-loop systems and promot- ing recycling initiatives, Printron minimizes landfill disposal and contributes to a circular economy. 4. Continuous Improvement and Innovation : Printron is dedicated to ongoing research and development efforts aimed at further enhancing its sustainability practices.

In addition to the ability for customers and prospects to perform on-press trials on a variety of the company’s machines, the center also features a Customer Experience Center catering to a host of visitors needs. Competence Center Manager Michael Cox walks attendees through the center's Customer Experience Center.

“Our customer experience center is built with modu- larity in mind. So as Bobst technology advances and the market needs change, we can react quickly.” The customer experience center features a Bobst Con- nect lounge where visitors can interact with the all-in-one digital platform that reportedly enhances and improves packaging productivity by bringing data and digital ser- vices together in one fully connected platform. A retail area demonstrates the many end-use products produced on Bobst’s machines and an interactive partner area will allow visitors to see how Bobst partner compa- nies such as Esko, Miraclon and Flexo Wash are incorpo- rated into their workflow. The demo center allows for on-site, real-time demonstrations of the company's many technology offerings.
