AF&PA Appoints Steiner New VP Of Government Affairs

The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) recent- ly confirmed Eric Steiner as its Vice President of Govern- ment Affairs. In his new role, Steiner will help lead the pa- per and wood products industry’s legislative agenda and drive advocacy efforts before Congress, the Administra- tion, and key state governments. Steiner will join AF&PA on November 1, 2021. “We are excited to have Eric bring his notable expe- rience to our outstanding government affairs team,” said AF&PA President and CEO Heidi Brock. “His previous work experience in the U.S. Senate, USDA, a trade asso- ciation, and two publicly traded companies will be key to communicating our industry’s essential role in manufactur- ing renewable and recyclable paper and packaging prod- ucts while contributing to a more sustainable future.” “I am pleased to join AF&PA’s talented government af- fairs team, as well as an industry that deeply values safe- ty, sustainability and diversity, equity and inclusion,” said Steiner. “AF&PA members are committed to advancing in- dustry policies through fact-based information and sound science.
