T omorrowland je paralelni univerzum koji već dve decenije redefiniše pojam audio-vizuelne umetnosti. Svakog jula belgijski gradić Bum, smešten na pola puta između Brisela i Antver- pena, postaje globalni epicentar elektronske muzike. Kroz dva festivalska vikenda (od 17. do 19, pa od 24. do 26. jula), ova pitoma belgijska ravnica transformiše se u zasebnu državu u kojoj stotine hiljada posetilaca iz više od dve stotine zemalja sveta plešu pod istom zastavom. Ono što „Tomorrowland“ čini jedinstvenim na plane- ti jeste njegova fanatična posvećenost detaljima i scenogra- fiji. Glavna bina svake godine nosi potpuno novu tematsku priču, a njeno osmišljavanje i izgradnja traju mesecima. To su monumentalne, žive skulpture visoke po nekoliko dese- tina metara, opremljene najsavremenijim laserskim siste- mima, vodopadima i pirotehnikom koja se sinhronizuje sa svakim bitom. Od mitskih šuma i podvodnih svetova do fu- turističkih dvoraca, estetika Festivala briše granicu izme- đu jave i sna. Ove godine julski vazduh ponovo vibrira u ritmu najve- ćih svetskih imena elektronske scene, od tehna i hausa do hardstajla. Ali najveća zvezda ovog festivala zapravo je nje- gova atmosfera čistog zajedništva, gde se u senci džinov- skih svetlećih skulptura i magičnih vatrometa slavi život u svom najčistijem, najenergičnijem obliku. T omorrowland is a parallel universe that has spent the past two decades redefining the concept of audio-visual art. Each July, the Belgian town of Boom, located at the midway point between Brus- sels and Antwerp, becomes the global epicentre of electronic music. Over the course of two festival weekends (from 17 th to 19 th July, and from 24 th to 26 th July), this gentle Belgian plain is transformed into a country in its own right, where hun- dreds of thousands of visitors from more than 200 countries dance under the same flag. Making Tomorrowland unique is its fanatical dedication to details and set design. The main stage has a completely new themed story every year, with a concept and construction that take months to complete. These are vibrant, monumental sculp- tures rising dozens of metres and equipped with cutting edge la- ser systems, waterfalls and pyrotechnics that synchronise with every beat. From mythical forests and underwater worlds to fu- turistic fortresses, the festival’s aesthetic erases the line between reality and dream. The July air will this year, once again, vibrate to the rhythm of the world’s biggest names on the electronic music scene, from techno and house to hardstyle. But the biggest star of this festi- val is actually its atmosphere of pure togetherness, where life is celebrated in its purest and most energetic form, in the shadow of giant, luminous sculptures and magical fireworks.
