T his June, Air Serbia celebrated a major milestone – exactly 70 years since the establishment of direct flights between Belgrade and Rome, as well as Belgrade and Milan. This anniversary is far more than just a number; it is a testament to the deep-rooted, long-standing, and powerful connection between two nations. From the maiden flights of the former JAT to the modern wings of Air Serbia today, these routes have never been mere transport links, but rather living bonds between two cultures, two economies, and, above all, between people. For seven decades now, ever since that historic 5 th of June 1956, Air Serbia has been connecting Belgrade and Milan – cities of style, culture, and unforgettable encounters. Throughout all these years, this route has become an unbreakable thread between two great European centres, with generations of passengers choosing this very flight to forge new ideas, businesses, and lasting memories. Just ten days later, on the 15 th of June 1956, Belgrade was directly connected to Rome as well. As the "Eternal City" and one of the world's most important cultural capitals, Rome holds a special place in the flight network; for 70 years, this route has continuously offered passengers the chance to explore its rich heritage and discover the city’s contemporary spirit. Today, Italy and Serbia are closer than ever. Alongside Rome and Milan, Air Serbia proudly connects Belgrade with a total of ten Italian destinations, including Venice, Florence, Bologna, Bari, Palermo, Catania, Alghero, and Naples. With the very same enthusiasm that sparked everything seven decades ago, Air Serbia continues to expand its network and enhance its services, committed to bringing people, cities, and memories even closer together in the years to come. O vog juna Er Srbija je obeležila između Beograda i Rima, kao i Beograda i Milana. Ova godišnjica je mnogo više od brojke; ona je potvrda dugogodišnje duboke i snažne povezanosti dva naroda. Od prvih letova nekadašnjeg JAT-a do današnjih modernih krila Er Srbije, ove linije nikada nisu bile samo saobraćajne veze već žive spone između dve kulture, dve ekonomije i, pre svega, između ljudi. Već sedam decenija, još od tog 5. juna 1956. godine, Er Srbija povezuje Beograd i Milano, gradove stila, kulture i nezaboravnih susreta. Tokom svih ovih godina ova ruta je postala neraskidiva nit između dva velika evropska centra, dok su generacije putnika birale upravo ovaj let za stvaranje novih ideja, poslova i trajnih uspomena. Samo deset dana kasnije, 15. juna 1956. godine, Beograd je direktno povezan i sa Rimom. Kao Večni grad i jedna od najvažnijih kulturnih prestonica sveta, Rim ima posebno mesto u mreži letova jer 70 godina ova linija bez prestanka pruža priliku putnicima da istražuju bogato nasleđe i otkrivaju savremeni duh grada.
