New home at 531 W. Germantown Pike, Plymouth Meeting, PA With thanks from Equity Retail Brokers
O ur vision has perse- vered in its simplic- ity: the creation of a full-service commercial real estate brokerage firm intent to engage in business with individuals and companies that we ‘know, like, and trust’. Seeing our clients in this manner is not the only objective; it is imperative that our clients feel the same about us. We started simply (circa 1994) in Broomall, and then moved to Haverford a few years later. There was no high speed Internet but lots of faxing, and we were a
much different company than who we are today. Years advanced and the business grew. Our efforts, tenants, and properties were decidedly slanted towards retail. New agents became residents amongst offices lining the suddenly robust hallways of a modest Main Line professional building. A spirit of teamwork con- ceptualized, and an ethos of diligence involuntarily em- braced. This was the home of Equity. In a way, it still is. As our business, clients, and staff grew, a new name to represent the aligned in-
terest of the firmwas needed, and a new location to prop- erly suit its team’s logistics, required. In 2005, Equity Re- tail Brokers was branded and incorporated. 101 W. Elm Street, a Brandywine Realty Trust owned, Class-A office building in Conshohocken, PA, appeared to be the per- fect fit for a new ‘home’. It proved to be more. The carpet was new and the windows bigger, but the vision, now a reality, remained the same. The location of headquar- ters had changed, yet the roster of clients remained strong. Within the divisions of Retail Leasing, Invest- ment Sales, Tenant Rep- resentation, and Property Management the number and quality of the accounts increased. Territory cov- ered also expanded from a Philadelphia Metro reach to include the whole of Eastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey, and Delaware. Regional focus gained a national presence with mem- bership in the Retail Brokers Network, the “RBN”. Cur- rently, over 65 independent commercial retail real estate offices in 48 states provide their local expertise to retail- ers, owners, developers, and investors – of both domestic and international origin. The year is 2016. Business is happily still growing. Fit- tingly, Equity Properties - now Equity Retail Brokers - is proud to announce our equity in a property! As of July, our new home is located at: 531W. Germantown Pike, Suite 103, Plymouth Meet- ing, PA 19462. So often in today’s world, business people, athletes, companies forget where they came from and how they got there. They forget it is not about them, but about the people around them. They exist for and because of the people around them. They forget the people who were integral to their growth, evo- lution, and success. They for- get to use the ever-so-simple words, “Thank you.” Thank you to everyone we have worked with, or for, and thank you to every agent and employee who has walked through our doors.
