In celebration of BrightSide Theatre’s 13th Season, each hour-long concert, rightfully named “Enchanted Broadway: A Magical Journey of Showtunes and Superstitions”, will feature songs from fantastical Broadway musicals including Into the Woods, The Wizard of Oz, Pippen, Wicked, The Addams Family, and many more. Summer School Camp • GRADES 1-5 On Mondays through Thursdays after a morning of learning with the school district, camp participants can spend the afternoon immersed in great camp activities with the park district. Arts and crafts, sports and group games are all part of the fun. Additionally, once each week, an entertainer will perform onsite for campers, participants will enjoy a movie shown onsite, and will take a trip to cenntennial Beach. Additionally, once per session, campers will travel to a fun field trip destination. Those attending summer school at Ranch View and Mill Street go directly to camp from their summer school classroom with guidance from their schoolteacher. Lunch and snacks are provided daily, and early pick-up is available at 3:00 p.m. except beach and field trip days. WOW Kid’s Art Camp • AGES 11-16 Spend a week with artist Charlie Heinrich / Art Wizard! In addition to having fun, students will use unexpected ideas and materials along with various concepts including line, form, color, shape to make art objects. We’ll also try out different hands-on techniques like drawing, painting, sculpting, combining, constructing, gluing, hot gluing, cutting, sawing, sanding, drilling, tying, wiring, and thinking. Some of the topics we plan to cover are: aliens, flying saucers, airplanes, sail boats, birds, skulls, hearts, robots, super heroes, snakes, alligators, animals, people and wherever our imagination takes us. Parents, clear off your refrigerator and mantel, because your camper will be creating a lot of unique and fun art that you’ll want to display.
