Case Analysis for all 15 Counties: Adams, Buffalo, Custer, Dodge, Douglas, Gage, Hall, Lancaster, Lincoln, Madison, Platte, Sarpy, Saunders, Washington and York
Statewide there were 6,827 arrests recorded by NDOT – Office of Highway Safety in 2018. MADD analyzed 2,297 DUI cases that occurred in 2018. This represents 34% of the total cases. These cases were primarily misdemeanor charges, unless the individual was charged with a DUI 3 rd .15+ or higher – those are considered felony offenses in the state of Nebraska. Of the 2,297 cases, 2,288 were closed and adjudicated by the time this report was printed. One case had a bench warrant and 8 cases were still open and in the process of going through the judicial system.
