West Orange, Atkins Kent 101 is one of the area’s pre - mier healthcare facilities serving the needs of private practitioners as well as large regional healthcare systems. Constructed in 1983 by At - kins Companies, the building features three stretcher-acces - sible elevators, ample patient parking with an abundance of handicapped spaces, auto - matic doors, canopied entries for patient drop-off, and a HAGERSTOWN, MD — A joint venture partnership led by an affiliate of Baltimore- based MCB Real Estate LLC has initiated construction on Currwood Logistics Center, a two-building business com - munity located in Hagerstown, which, upon delivery in fall late 2023, will comprise two million s/f of industrial/warehouse/ logistics space. Both single- story buildings -- one nearly 1.7 million s/f and the other a 300,000 s/f building -- are being developed simultaneously on a speculative basis. Additional real estate entities involved in the partnership include global real estate investment manager Invesco Real Estate, Cu- rated Development Group and Birchwood Capital Part- ners . Nearly 1,500 new jobs are expected to be created by the companies and end-users signing leases at the 195-acre business community situated at 217 S. Edgewood Dr. near US Rte. 40 in Washington County. The building’s timeless design, paired with Atkins Companies’ hands-on management and proactive capital investments, has con - tinually cemented its role as an invaluable piece of the local area’s healthcare landscape over the last four decades. Aiming to build upon its leg - acy of strategic investments into Atkins Kent 101, the

capital improvement project sought to enhance patients’ and practitioners’ experience at the building. The improve - ments include the renova - tion and modernization of the building’s common areas and restrooms on the second, fourth and fifth floors through the addition of new lighting, flooring, fixtures and decor. “Today’s healthcare prac - titioners and their patients expect and deserve an experi-

These latest capital improvements at Atkins Kent 101 speak to that commitment and we are proud to deliver this space to all of those who enter the building.” MAREJ floorplates are suitable for a diverse array of light manufac - turing, warehouse, logistics and last-mile delivery operations and can accommodate both single- and multi-tenant users. Power and conduit connections will be provided to maintain Electric Vehicle charging sta - tions at both sites. The Currwood Logistics Cen - ter development team is invest- ing in the construction of a new signalized intersection at US Rte. 40, as well as a new four- lane extension of Paul Smith Blvd. that extends to another new signalized intersection at Edgewood Dr., which will serve as the project’s entrance. Cushman & Wakefield has been selected as the leas - ing broker for this leasing requirement, with David Dan- nenfelser and Tyler Boykin , managing directors in the Baltimore office, and Adam Campbell, executive vice chairman in the Harrisburg office, jointly handling the as - signment.
