Con esta edición, la número 30, cerramos un ciclo de 10 años ininterrumpidos de revista AOA, en los cuales hemos trabajado para entregar un producto de indudable calidad y aporte arquitectónico. Creemos haber marcado un hito con la aparición de la revista, que se ha convertido en un medio habitual de consulta especialmente entre estudiantes de Arquitectura. Debemos agradecer la visión de sus iniciadores: David Rodríguez, Enrique Browne y Raimundo Lira quienes, a través de una línea editorial mantenida en el tiempo, impusieron la excelencia desde un inicio. Igualmente, agradecer a los sucesivos directorios de la AOA, que siempre han apoyado y reconocido en la revista un valioso producto para sus socios y para la arquitectura en general.
Enrique Browne y Raimundo Lira dejan su tarea editorial, destacamos y les agradecemos su rigor y dedicación. Permanecemos nuestro ex presidente Yves Besançon y yo, para reconformar un equipo en la nueva etapa que se inicia, con el apoyo del equipo periodístico y de diseño.
A lo largo de la historia y conservando nuestra pauta editorial, ha variado el énfasis de algunas secciones, especialmente la dirigida a los arquitectos jóvenes y a los concursos. Sin embargo, nuestro artículo central, de rescate de arquitectos de la modernidad, merece una especial atención: se trata de investigaciones realizadas por destacados académicos y profesionales de gran prestigio, a quienes debemos agradecer su desinteresado aporte, con el foco en poner en valor a arquitectos maestros, profesores, premios nacionales y, especialmente, a aquellas figuras que no han contado con la merecida difusión de su aporte a la modernidad.
El fruto de este trabajo se plasmará en una recopilación de los 30 artículos publicados en estos 10 años, los cuales conformarán un libro que, estamos seguros, será una real contribución a la historia de nuestra arquitectura moderna.
En este número completamos el ciclo con la faceta moderna de Luciano Kulczewski, en un artículo preparado por los profesores Horacio Torrent y Maximiano Atria, quienes ponen el acento en la relación entre arquitectura y sociedad de la obra de Kulczewski.
Los invitamos a leer este y los otros artículos de la revista número 30. Y los invitamos también a sumarse a los desafíos que debemos abordar en nuestra nueva etapa. Es indispensable contar con el apoyo de todos los asociados, ya que la revista es y seguirá siendo una producción gremial que busca mostrar nuestras obras y aportar calidad, conocimiento, investigación y difusión de nuestra arquitectura.
With this edition, the 30 th , we close a cycle of 10 uninterrupted years of AOA magazine, in which we have worked to deliver a product of unquestionable quality and architectural contribution. We believe we have reached a milestone with the advent of the magazine, which has become a common means of consultation especially among students of architecture. We must thank the vision of its originators: David Rodríguez, Enrique Browne and Raimundo Lira who, through a sustained editorial line, imposed excellence from the beginning. Also, we thank the successive boards of the AOA, who have always supported and recognized in the magazine a valuable product for the associates and for architecture in general.
Enrique Browne and Raimundo Lira are stepping aside from their editorial task. We honor and thank them for their rigor and dedication. Our former president Yves Besançon and shall I remain, to reshape a team in the new era that begins with the support of the journalism and design team.
Throughout the history and preserving our editorial guidelines, the emphasis of some sections has changed, especially those focusing on young architects and competitions. However, our main feature, the architects of the modern period, deserves special attention. These investigations, performed by prominent academics and professionals of great prestige and whom we thank for their selfless contribution, have placed their focus on highlighting the value of architect teachers, professors, national awards recipients and especially those figures that have not had the deserved dissemination of their contribution to modernity.
The result of this work will be reflected in a collection of 30 articles published in these 10 years, which will make up a book that we are sure will be a real contribution to the history of our modern architecture.
In this issue we complete the cycle with the modernist aspect of Luciano Kulczewski, in an article prepared by teachers Horacio Torrent and Maximiano Atria, who emphasize the relationship between architecture and society in the work of Kulczewski.
We invite you to read this and the other articles in magazine number 30. And also welcome you to join the challenges we must address in our new stage. It is essential to have the support of all the associates, as the magazine is and will remain a union production that aims to show our work and provide quality, knowledge, research and dissemination of our architecture.
