Así el proyecto se divide en cuatro elementos: - La fábrica , corazón del proyecto, alberga los laboratorios de prototipos, plotters de corte láser, modelado 3D, talleres de herramientas, cerámica y corte-confección. En el nivel superior van los Talleres Creativos de primer año, base del proyecto educativo. Se mantuvieron los muros de albañilería armada originarios y sus ventanas, los cuales se reforzaron para cumplir con las normativas contemporáneas. Se reemplazó la estructura de cubierta, en muy malas condiciones, por una de tipo industrial para acentuar el carácter y escalar el edificio a la nueva edificación contigua. -Dos de las casas se convirtieron en oficinas administrativas y en galería de exposiciones. Para lograr la integración del equipo académico, en las oficinas se aprovechó la estructura original de principios de siglo –en base a adobillo, estructura de madera revestida en barro–, donde se retiró el revestimiento dejando la estructura de raulí expuesta, lo que abrió grandes espacios conectados visualmente sin perder el carácter original.
Therefore the project is divided into four elements: - The factory , heart of the project, which houses the prototype laboratories, laser cutting plotters, 3D modeling, tool workshops, ceramics and dress making. The freshman Creative Workshops, educational basis for the project, are located on the top level. The original reinforced masonry walls and windows were maintained and strengthened to meet current regulations. The old roof structure was in very poor condition and was replaced by an industrial type roof to emphasize its character and scale the building to the new adjacent construction. - Two of the houses were transformed into administrative offices and exhibition spaces. To achieve the integration of the academic staff, in the original turn of the century structure of the offices –based on adobillo , mud covered wooden structure– the coating was removed, leaving the raulí timber structure exposed, opening large visually connected spaces without losing the original character.
