Desde un inicio el edificio consideró temas de ahorro de energía y calidad ambiental. La ubicación cumple con criterios de buena conectividad y acceso a servicios, además libera áreas en beneficio de espacios verdes y públicos. Se hizo un esfuerzo por considerar la eficiencia en el uso del agua tanto en riego como en el tipo de grifería y artefactos escogidos. El diseño arquitectónico buscó también maximizar la iluminación natural disponible y por ende ahorro en iluminación artificial. Se consideró que la envolvente funcionara de manera eficiente en meses de verano y de invierno con cristales de adecuada transmisión de luz y a la vez buen factor de sombra. From the start the building design considered issues of energy savings and environmental quality. The location offers good connectivity and access to services, while freeing up areas for green, public spaces. A special effort was made to consider efficiency in the use of water in irrigation as well as in the selection of fittings and sanitary fixtures. The architectural design also sought to maximize natural light and therefore savings in artificial lighting. The enveloping skin was designed to function efficiently in winter and summer months with adequate light transmittance and shading coefficient glazing.
