Architecture classmates Ángela Delorenzo and Cristóbal Valenzuela, formed LAND, their own studio, upon graduation from Finis Terrae in 2007. Before that, while studying, Delorenzo worked with Christian de Groote and Sebastián Irarrázaval and Valenzuela at WMR Arquitectos. With a marked focus on sustainable architecture, both have postgraduate degrees in the area: Ángela has a Masters in Landscape Architecture majoring in Environmental Planning and Urban Design at the University of California, while Cristóbal has a degree in Sustainable Architecture at the Catholic University. As they explain, LAND emphasizes the design of projects that integrate architecture, landscape, urban design and environmental planning. Their specific interests are coastal sustainable urban developments and conservation of the cultural and natural landscape, environmental initiatives, preventive planning against natural disasters and landscape infrastructure that works to improve the natural and built landscape and quality of life. They also work with non-profit initiatives in education, landscape and infrastructure projects. They currently have several projects in development such as the Origami office and commercial building in Las Condes; the NCSO building in Vitacura; the Islotes de Matanzas conceptual master plan in Navidad; the Las Palmas Sports Park in Leyda and the Casi Cubo House in Pichilemu.
Compañeros en Arquitectura fueron Ángela Delorenzo y Cristóbal Valenzuela, quienes al salir de la Finis Terrae el año 2007 formaron su propia oficina: LAND. Antes de eso, mientras estudiaban, ella trabajó con Christian de Groote y con Sebastián Irarrázaval y él en WMR Arquitectos. Con un marcado foco en la arquitectura sustentable, ambos cuentan con posgrados en ese ámbito: Ángela tiene un máster en Arquitectura del Paisaje con mención en Planificación Ambiental y Diseño Urbano de la Universidad de California, en tanto Cristóbal hizo un diplomado en Arquitectura Sustentable en la PUC. Según explican, el énfasis de LAND es diseñar proyectos que integran arquitectura, paisaje, diseño urbano y planificación medioambiental. Sus intereses específicos son desarrollos urbanos costeros sustentables y conservación del paisaje cultural y natural, iniciativas medioambientales, planificación preventiva frente a desastres naturales e infraestructura del paisaje que colabore a mejorar el paisaje natural y construido y la calidad de vida. Además, colaboran con iniciativas sin fines de lucro en proyectos de educación y de paisaje e infraestructura. Actualmente tienen varios proyectos en desarrollo, entre los que destacan el edificio Origami, de oficinas y comercio en Las Condes; el edificio NCSO, en Vitacura; el concepto de plan maestro Islotes de Matanzas, en Navidad; el parque deportivo Las Palmas en Leyda y la Casa Casi Cubo, en Pichilemu.
