CASA RAMBLA HOUSE RAMBLA
El nombre escogido para su oficina por los arquitectos Ángela Delorenzo y Cristóbal Valenzuela –ambos titulados en la Universidad Finis Terrae el 2007– alude justamente a la relación que buscan fortalecer entre su arquitectura, el paisaje y el territorio con marcado énfasis en la sustentabilidad. The name chosen by architects Angela Delorenzo and Cristóbal Valenzuela –both graduates at the Universidad Finis Terrae in 2007– refers precisely to the relationship they seek to strengthen between architecture, landscape and the territory with a strong emphasis on sustainability.

El sitio de esta casa de descanso colinda con la rambla costera y peatonal que une Zapallar con el Cementerio. El programa buscó continuidad y conexión entre los espacios interiores y exteriores, proyectando las vistas hacia el mar y, al mismo tiempo, protegiendo los espacios del clima local, caracterizado por fuertes vientos y exposición al poniente. El quincho, entre el estar y el dormitorio, se proyectó con un techo desplegado para la ventilación; este techo es a la vez una lucarna que capta la luz del norte hacia el interior. La casa se posa sobre vigas de hormigón generando un espacio ventilado que aísla la humedad del suelo. Los volúmenes de madera de pino se estructuran con pilares en V en distintos sentidos, a modo de arrostramiento. The site of this leisure home adjoins the seaside pedestrian promenade linking Zapallar with the cemetery. The program sought continuity and connection between indoor and outdoor spaces, projecting the views towards the ocean and at the same time, sheltering the spaces from the local climate, characterized by strong winds and exposure to the west. The barbecue area, between the living room and the bedroom, was designed with an expanded roof for ventilation; this roof is also a skylight that projects the northern light into the interior. The house sits on concrete beams creating a ventilated space that isolates from the soil moisture. The pine wood volumes are structured on V-shaped pillars arranged in different directions by way of bracing.
