El jurado destacó la satisfactoria respuesta al encargo y a las observaciones hechas en la primera etapa, destacando su afinada propuesta metodológica en transporte y sustentabilidad y la concepción integral del proyecto respecto al desarrollo urbano. Se valoraron especialmente las propuestas de planificación urbana de los barrios y distritos asociados al eje por medio de la segregación de flujos en “súper manzanas’’, que permiten reducir las velocidades dentro de la trama urbana y facilitar los procesos de renovación urbana interior. También el diseño de “marquesinas” para reducir el impacto visual de los paraderos y la visión urbanística integradora para los nodos de Pajaritos y Estación Central, Plaza Italia.
The jury noted the satisfactory response to the assignment and the observations made in the first stage, highlighting its refined methodology in transportation and sustainability and the comprehensive conception of the project with respect to urban development. Other elements of value were the proposal for urban planning of neighborhoods and districts associated with the axis through the segregation of flows into “super blocks” –reducing the speeds in the urban setting and facilitating the processes of inner urban renewal– as well as the design of the “canopies” to reduce the visual impact of the bus stops and the integrating urban vision for the Pajaritos, Estación Central and Plaza Italia nodes.
