EDIFICIO CONSISTORIAL DE PAPUDO PAPUDO TOWN HALL Gran cantidad de propuestas se presentaron a este concurso convocado por el municipio costero para el diseño de su nuevo edificio consistorial, a construirse en la manzana de la Plaza de Armas de Papudo. A large number of proposals were submitted to this competition organized by the coastal town government for the design of its new town hall, built on the block along the Plaza de Armas of Papudo. En una novedosa iniciativa, este certamen de arquitectura se financió a través de la Línea de Fomento a la Arquitectura del Fondart 2015. Fue organizado por la Corporación Huérfanos Arquitectos, con el patrocinio del Colegio de Arquitectos y la AOA. El jurado fue encabezado por el Premio Nacional de Arquitectura Teodoro Fernández, junto a Andrés Mejías (en representación de la alcaldesa Rosa Prieto), Samuel Encina (representante de la comunidad) y los arquitectos Mario Ferrada, Carlos Alberto Urzúa (AOA), Cristóbal Molina (CNCA), Pilar Urrejola (Colegio de Arquitectos) y Gonzalo Mardones (representante de los concursantes). Heralding a new initiative, the competition was funded by the architectural development program of the 2015 Fondart (National Fund for the Development of Culture and the Arts, CNCA), organized by Corporación Huérfanos Arquitectos , and sponsored by the Association of Architects and the AOA. The jury was headed by the National Architecture Prize laureate Teodoro Fernández, with Andrés Mejías (on behalf of Mayor Rosa Prieto), Samuel Encina (community representative) and architects Mario Ferrada, Carlos Alberto Urzúa (AOA), Cristóbal Molina (CNCA), Pilar Urrejola (Association of Architects) and Gonzalo Mardones (representative of the contestants).
