In preparation for the ‘Self Discovery -Strength Finders Virtual Learning Session’, please complete the pre -work activities in the attached document.

PRE WORK ACTIVITY 1
STRENGTH FINDERS ASSESSMENT

American Psychologist Donald CLIFTON introduced the concept of Strengths Psychology which inspired a whole new approach to the study of human performance; today called: Positive Psychology.
Clifton developed the StrengthsFinder Assessment under the notion:

From there on, International Leadership Development Organizations such as Gallup have implemented this assessment tool to assist leaders identify their intrinsic capabilities and to understand their effects in their leadership decisions. Pre-Work No. 1: In the next few days, you will be receiving an e-mail from Dirk-Jan with a unique, personal log-in access to complete the StrengthsFinder Assessment online. As such: • Follow the instructions and complete the online assessment at least 4 days prior to the workshop date. • This task will require around 40 minutes, please plan in advance. • It is highly recommended to be in a quiet place with no distractions when doing the assessment. • There are no right or wrong answers in the assessment. Don’t overthink your answers • Take a few extra minutes to watch the StrengthsFinder by Gallup Introduction video available by clicking on the video to the right.
A debrief on your results and further explanations will be provided during the workshop.
