Elevada en un bosque de coigües, rodeado por una pared de roca vertical y un arroyo, la cabina Shangrilá se funda sobre una plataforma elevada de hormigón, para buscar luz y despejar el valioso suelo vegetal. Se construye en panel SIP de alta aislación térmica revestido en el interior por madera de un árbol caído del mismo bosque y por el exterior por pino quemado inerte. El interior busca maximizar los metros cuadrados, habitando un espacio compacto y preciso, las copas de los árboles. High up in the middle of a coigüe forest, surrounded by a vertical wall of rock and a brook, the Shangrilá cottage rests on a raised concrete platform seeking sunlight and clearing the valued forest ground soil. Built with SIP high thermal insulation panels, it is finished on the interior with timber from a fallen tree in the same forest and on the outside with inert burnt pine boards. The interior seeks to maximize the available area, inhabiting a compact and precise space among the treetops.
