Lo público está en un primer nivel que prioriza el vacío, y se complementa con un gran espacio que unifica el cine existente y los nuevos programas de auditorio, cafetería y salas comunes. Lo privado se presenta como un edificio que se posa sobre esta situación; se modulan tres niveles de oficinas basados en una trama regular que se matiza con vacíos. The proposal is divided into two architectural concepts, public and private . The public spaces are on the first level, which prioritizes the voids, and is complemented by a large space that unifies the existing cinema with the new auditorium, cafeteria and common rooms. The private areas are presented as a building resting on this situation; three levels of offices that are modulated on a regular pattern interspersed with empty spaces.
EDIFICIO FACULTAD DE FILOSOFÍA Y HUMANIDADES UACH Building for the Faculty of Philosophy and Humanities UACh El nuevo edificio, bautizado como Eleazar Huerta, se levantará en el campus Isla Teja de la Universidad Austral de Chile, en Valdivia. The new building, named after Eleazar Huerta, will rise in the Isla Teja campus of the Universidad Austral de Chile in Valdivia. La Facultad de Filosofía y Humanidades de la Universidad Austral de Chile convocó a un concurso de anteproyectos a fin de definir la propuesta más idónea para su nuevo edificio, de 5.300 m². Tras analizar los proyectos recibidos el jurado escogió cuatro finalistas, considerando su factibilidad técnica y respuesta a las necesidades manifestadas y definidas por la misma facultad. La comisión evaluadora, encabezada por el decano, fue integrada por autoridades y representantes de la facultad, junto a los arquitectos Leopoldo Prat, Edward Rojas y Humberto Eliash. El director del concurso fue Felipe Stolzenbach, arquitecto de Infraestructura y Desarrollo Físico UACh. The Faculty of Philosophy and Humanities of the Universidad Austral de Chile called for a concept competition to define the most suitable proposal for a new building with 5,300 m². After analyzing the projects submitted the jury chose four finalists, considering their technical feasibility and response to the needs expressed and defined by the same faculty. The evaluation committee, headed by the dean, was composed of authorities and representatives of the faculty, along with architects Leopoldo Prat, Edward Rojas and Humberto Eliash. The director of the competition was architect Felipe Stolzenbach, from the UACh Infrastructure and Physical Development department.
