The Fyffe defense forced this fumble against Saks in the third round of the AHSAA State Playoffs on Friday, November 19, 2021. The Red Devils defense made several key stops, but Fyffe's offense could not find the spark it needed. The Red Devils fell to Saks 14-7, after only scoring in the single digits for the first time this season. Fyffe closed out the year with a 10-2 overall record. Saks advanced to the state semifinals. Piedmont's Aaron Jackson Hayes runs the football against Sylvania during the opening round of the 2021 state playoffs. The Bulldogs survived the remaining playoff rounds and picked up a 52-44 overtime victory over Saks to advance to the 2021 Class 3A state championship game against Montgomery Academy. Clay-Chalkville Wins 6A State Title Clay-Chalkville’s Marquarius White (#3) grabs a reception as Hueytown’s Jakilyn Jones (#2) defends during the 2021 State Championship.
