The Knights of Columbus organized a spaghetti lunch and supper to help a good cause, on May 27. The funds collected during the event will be donated to the Red Cross and will serve to help the victims of the Fort McMurray fire. Hundreds of residents of Cornwall came together at the Knights of Columbus Hall in order to have a great meal, while chatting away. It took the Knights several hours of hard work to ensure everything was ready for the hungry residents. “We’re hoping to get around 300 to 700 people here,” explained Columbus Club President André Barrette. “We do a spaghetti supper every last Friday of the month. But for this month we thought, why don’t we help Fort Mac?” The doors opened at 11 a.m. but the event took place on two different storeys. “We’re having the lunch in the basement and, later on, the supper on the third floor,” said Barrette. “We even have a live band performing.
