Steep Slopes? No Problem!
Titan was involved in the pre-implementation and execution stages of a steep slope application for a dam raise mine in a remote area in Northern Saskatchewan this summer. The dams needed to be protected and controlled for erosion as the lake water levels rose. Our crew collaborated with Nuna contractors to install an 80mil HDPE liner and a 12oz non-woven geotextile in a safe manner. “The Titan crew was excellent to work with, worked safely and efficiently, and completed the work well under the expected timeframe”, said Assistant Project Manager, Nuna Group of Companies. Working from a height was also an issue because our workers had to wear a safety lanyard while working on slopes. Conducting daily safety briefings (before and after work) is vital to our crew's well-being and ensuring that they get home safely to their families.
Stepping Up to the Plate During the Pandemic Our crews traveled to Inuvik, Northwest Territories, to install a liner for a new soil treatment facility. Using our expertise and experience, we stepped up to the plate to start this project during the pandemic, alleviating a major challenge for the General Contractor.
