012 MICROSOFT EXCEL: A COMPREHENSIVE INTRODUCTION This course provides an introduction to the popular spreadsheet program and many of its useful and powerful features. Students will learn concepts and techniques to create and use spreadsheets for various purposes in the home and office. Topics covered will include data entry and formatting, copying and pasting, formulas, printing, saving and opening files, charts, and basic math concepts. A working knowledge of any Windows or Mac OS is recommended. 007 INTRODUCTION TO SHORT FILM DEVELOPMENT This course will introduce or amplify the process of taking an idea or story to adapt it for the screen in particular short films and stories, PSA’s, and proof of concepts documentary. We will cover the steps from screenplay to production, including a class-produced short film at the end of the session. 6:00-8:00PM Edwin Escobar Thurs., Sept. 1 2 Virtual 5 sessions $129 Edwin Escobar is a self taught director and cinematographer based in CT. He has been offering video production services to developing artists of all mediums and small businesses for the last 14 years. Edwin has worked in over a dozen short films, including four original award winning projects.

It doesn’t matter what kind of equipment you use: your smart phone camera, a disposable 35mm camera, or a state-of-the- art digital single lens reflex camera; you’ll learn the basics of photography in this class. Photographic fundamentals such as exposure and focus control, posing, and composition will be discussed. We’ll critique your prints to help you take better pictures. We’ll also give you photo tips and share our professional experience. Bring your photos, a notebook, your camera, and plan to have a good time. No experience necessary.
