Time to Reflect With Durgham Shamot Reflecting on the past year, there are many highlights that come to mind. Our annual Summer BBQ, multiple exhibitions and of course, IMS being awarded the top prize in the Ward Hadaway Fastest 50 Awards. The achievement is a credit to our wonderful team of employees, as our success is down to them, our IMS family. Moving forward we have exciting growth plans under development with the IMS Range that will save all surgeries money and offset pressure on your costs in this challenging economic environment. In these trying times, we pride ourselves on passing significant savings onto you and will continue to do so in 2023. London Vet Show 2022

Towards the end of last month we were back exhibiting at the world-famous London Vet Show, and had a fantastic time meeting all of you in person and sharing our innovative products! Nick Shamot, Ayesha Nasir, Steven Brotherton, Alan McCarthy, Chloe Winkfield and Ben Gardner-Briggs were all on the stand to chat to an exhibition centre full of both new and familiar faces. LVS provided us with the opportunity to showcase a wide variety of products, including Collaclot TM , CaptIV, VetMedWear ® Recovery Suits & HUGE cost-savings on the new additions to the IMS Range! We also had our good friend and Equine Dental Expert Eric Malécot from Horse Dental Equipment on hand to share his knowledge of the highest quality dental equipment available in the market. In addition, Maciej Wojcik from Vet Med Solutions joined us to provide his expertise on our pet recovery suits.

Winner Announced! Congratulations to Emily Hosier of Kings Wood Vets for winning a Red Letter Day, the top prize on our spin to win competition at LVS! Another congratulations goes to Heather Joyce of Bay Vets Ltd for winning our luxury hamper! Thank you to everyone who came and had a go, we hope you had as much fun as we did!

Kate Hughes, a Royal Veterinary Nurse, owns a 3-year-old TB Filly, who had unfortunately suffered a deep laceration to the forehead. Upon using our Collaclot™ Haemostatic Sponge, her filly was left with a very clean wound from which the sponge was easily removed from the wound site without pulling away the clot, meaning there was no re-bleeding from the site. “I couldn’t be happier with this outcome. When I was faced with this large laceration on my own horse, I instantly went for the Collaclot™ dressing I received as a sample to try and placed it directly into the wound which was then removed at clean up. The bleeding stopped pretty much straight away, with no re-bleeding during the clean-up and stitch, and was surprisingly easy to remove from the wound, which made everyone’s lives so much easier”

A lot of my time is spent speaking with practice stakeholders to understand what their needs are and how IMS can meet them. No two days are the same and it is always lovely to speak with nurses, vets and practice owners whose costs we've helped lower in these economically challenging times. It’s a great feeling to know that we are making a difference! What do you love most about working for IMS? Definitely the people. In my short time at IMS I’ve felt so welcomed as part of the family. The office really hits the perfect balance With IMS growing so rapidly I’m excited to further develop my career. I’ve recently moved up to Manchester from down south and have a lot of places left that I still need to visit! Favourite pastime? Anything with great food and I’m there. Nights out, music gigs and festivals with friends. I also love getting comfy on the sofa watching anime or reading a book. between a friendly and professional environment. What are you most excited about in 2023?
