Department of Human Factors, Safety and Social Sciences The Department of Human Factors, Safety and Social Sciences offers you knowledge that directly connects to your degree program and helps you build the skills that are sought by our industry and government partners. Our mission is to provide a bridge that links pure science with scientific processes that can be used to solve real-world problems. We also offer undergraduate minors in Economics, Human Factors, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Occupational Safety and Health, Psychology and Research Foundations. An undergraduate certificate in Occupational Safety and Health as well as graduate certificates in Human Factors and in Occupational Safety Management are also available.

Master of Science in Human Factors

The rapid growth of technology in every industry demands an in-depth understanding of how systems and people work together, addressing human error to improve operational efficiency, effectiveness and safety. The online Master of Science in Human Factors prepares you to ensure that human-centered concerns are given consideration during the design and development processes of systems, products and work environments.
