The mission of the Department of Security and Emergency Services is to prepare students for current and future challenges through our widely recognized Bachelor of Science in Emergency Services and Bachelor of Science in Homeland Security, complemented by our Master of Science in Emergency Services and Master of Science in Human Security and Resilience programs. The curriculum is designed to teach you how to address crises, emergencies and other security threats with a focus on prevention and recovery in an all-hazards context. Whether it’s understanding how people bounce back from disasters or avoiding future catastrophes, our global student body is trained to become future leaders in this vital and fast-growing field.
