The Global Infrastructure Hub: building the framework Until now, there was little understanding of how the Global Infrastructure Hub (GIH) intended to fulfill its G20 mandate to: 1. Develop a knowledge-sharing network 2. Address key data gaps that matter to investors 3. Promote and prioritise G20 Leading Practices 4. Build the capacity of the public sector to undertake procurements 5. Ensure that there is a comprehensive, open source project pipeline database However, with the recent appointment of its inaugural CEO and the release of its 2015-16 Business Plan, we are now starting to see the GIH take shape. The Business Plan sets out how the GIH intends to engage with governments, multilateral development banks and the market more broadly, and also sets out a work plan for the next 18 months of its operations.
