Rambur Charolais - 48th Annual Bull Sale [4/11/26]

MORTALITY AND FIRST BREEDING SEASON LOSS OF USE COVERAGE: If insuring your reeding bulls is a management tool that you use, we recommend taking advantage of this program. Rambur Charolais will make available loss of use coverage, at purchase price, for the first breeding season for Rambur Charolais bulls sold in the April 2026 sale. The coverage will provide traditional bull mortality coverage which provides coverage for death from natural causes, including life threatening injuries. The coverage has been extended to include loss of use in the first breeding season. In case animal in question should develop to be a problem due to negligence or improper management by the purchaser, the sellers insurance does not apply. The coverage will be available at time of settlement for those who choose to insure their bulls. The policy will insure the bulls from the date of sale until September 1, 2026. All claims will require a veterinarians examination and written statement to substantiate claim. Under the loss of use extension of coverage, the bulls inability to naturally service cows must be diagnosed by a veterinarian and immediately reported to Rambur Charolais, including veterinarian statement. A claim shall occur if after 14 consecutive days following the date of diagnosis and first report, the bull cannot be returned to natural service.This loss of use claim will be settled by Rambur Charolais as follows: 1.The bull will be replaced with a bull of equal value if acceptable to customer. 2. Credit at following production sales for amount insured. the cost of coverage will be 5% of the purchase price. Buyers who do not request coverage sale day will not have coverage available at a later date. Salvage value, if any, belongs to Rambur Charolais with the insured animal delivered a purchasers expense to the nearest sale barn. BIDDING: Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder without reserve. The Auctioneer in charge will settle any disputes as to bids, and his decision on such matters shall be final TERMS: Terms of sale are cash and settlement must be made immediately after the completion of the sale. PURCHASER’S RISK: Each animal become the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold; but it shall be the obligation of the seller to see that animals are fed and cared for free of charge to purchaser until loaded for shipment. CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRY: From the American International Charolais Association, or American Angus Association, a transferred certificate to the buyers will be furnished upon request. BREEDER’S GUARANTEE: 1. All bulls have received a complete breeding examination from High Plains Veterinary Clinic and are fully guaranteed breeders. Bulls must be demonstrated to be non-breeders, barring accident or illness, under normal conditions at the first breeding season. Should the animal fail to prove a breeder, the seller, at his option, may either return purchase price to buyer or replace the animal with another of equal value, in full settlement and satisfaction of all claims. In no event shall seller be responsible for more than the purchase price. 2. In case animals in question should develop to be a problem breeder due to negligence or improper management by the purchaser, the sellers guarantee does not apply. All complaints regarding breeding difficulties must be reported in writing by the buyer to the seller and animals returned must be free of disease and in good condition. 3. Even though all bulls are examined in March, it is still a good management practice to have your local veterinarian test your purchase before breeding turnout. RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS: 1. The above terms and conditions of sale shall constitute a contract between the buyer and seller of each animal and shall be equally binding upon both. Each sale or resale of an animal constitutes a separate transaction. 2. Neither the American Charolais Association, the sale manager, nor any other person connected with the management of the sale assumes any liability, legal or otherwise. HEALTH: All cattle are certified to go anywhere in the United States. Cattle purchased by Canadians will have to pass proper certification to enter Canada. Rambur Charolais will cover all expenses to obtain certificates with purchase refund if not obtainable. SHIPPING: All bulls sold $5000 and over will be delivered free for the first 500 miles to your nearest attended central livestock yards; beyond that actual costs not to exceed $500 per head.
