Hello everybody and welcome to another edition of the Woodford wrap
How wonderful was Christmas January and February the weather has been beautiful the days have been lovely the home has gone through some changes we have fully renovated the memory support unit with new flooring throughout we’ve done some soundproofing in the main areas, just to soften a space. The home enjoyed an amazing Christmas event and the residents loved spending time with their family and friends. Woodford Manor has been lucky enough to have a charity group attached to it for the last 10 years, unfortunately the members are getting tired, and life has become so busy, so the decision was made to close the charity group. Over the last that last 10 years the charity group has spent thousands of dollars on amazing big projects for the home. The last gift to the home from fund raising contributed to the six electric massage and heating chairs that have arrived in the theatre. We will be looking at many movies night enjoyed in comfort in our VIP seats. The warm weather and wet weather have meant that the gardens have gone crazy with very high growth. We plan to move forward when the cooler months come on to have gardening groups and support the changes to the courtyard in Durundur. We have new residents come into the home and their feedback is I can’t believe how much fun it is to live here, we have a resident saying that he will have the weekend off so that he can relax, as he’s so busy with the leisure and lifestyle activities Monday to Friday. Lookout for some twilight events with the cooler mounts coming on now what a perfect time to have some jazz and nibbles, so if you see those events on the calendar come and join in. The next three months of autumn are going to be busy with easter and many events planned so be a part of the life that is Woodford manor.
