Message from Lifestyle Lee-Ann December was a huge month for us. We decorated Woodford to look like Santa’s wonderland, held our Christmas raffles, and of course celebrated with our Christmas lunch event. What a fantastic day that was.
The start of 2026 has been just as busy. Our Lifestyle team kicked off the year by organising the annual calendar and planning all the special events for our residents. In January we celebrated Australia Day and held our first buffet breakfast of the year. February brought Chinese New Year celebrations, and Valentine’s Day, and in March we will be celebrating St Patrick’s Day. Keep an eye out for the green cakes. In April we’ll be celebrating both Easter and ANZAC Day. We’ve also introduced some new activities this year. One of them is Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, which has quickly become a favourite among residents. Our buffet breakfast, held every four weeks on the last Friday of the month, has also been a huge hit. Another new activity is “Travel to Your Favourite Food Destination.” Each month a resident chooses a place they would love to visit, and our wonderful kitchen team prepares a themed morning tea inspired by that destination. So far, we’ve travelled to Paris and America, and Ireland is coming up next. Stay tuned for the end of April and early May. We have a secret event planned for our ladies to celebrate Mother’s Day.
