FY26 OUT OF DISTRICT TUITION Every student has a right to receive an education that meets their needs, regardless of level of need to disability. In some cases, this involved students needing to attend a school outside of the NPS district, one that can meet their educational needs. In Massachusetts, the Circuit Breaker program provides financial assistance to school districts to help offset the high costs of special education, especially for students placed in out-of-district (OOD) programs. The following information presents a history of out-of-district tuition attendance, costs, and state reimbursement.
