Minimum Required Local Contribution Multi-Tied System of Support (MTSS) Municipal Revenue Growth Factor (MRGF)

The minimum that a city or town must appropriate from property taxes and other local revenues for the support of schools (Massachusetts Education Reform Act of 1993). A continuum of evidence-based practices matched to student needs, in which students with high levels of need receive greater amounts of support An estimate of the percentage change in a municipality's revenue growth for a fiscal year. It represents the combined percentage increase in the following revenue components: automatic 2½ percent increase in the levy limit, estimated new growth, change in selected unrestricted state aid categories, and the change in selected unrestricted local receipts. This is the accounting software used by the City of Newton and Newton Public Schools. MUNIS is used by the district to provide financial and staffing information, perform payroll, human resources, and other administrative duties, and is used by individual staff members to access important information such as taxable earnings, W2 information, and PTO days. A self-sustaining arm of the Newton Public Schools dedicated to lifelong learning. NCE offer programs for everyone eager to explore — from toddlers to seniors — from Newton and beyond. When the school day ends, NCE classes begin, offering access to school facilities for community learning. The program aims to inspire or nurture lifelong passion with quality programs provided at a reasonable cost. School budget and municipal budget amounts attributable to education, excluding long-term debt service, student transportation, school lunches, and certain other specified school expenditures. A community’s NSS funding must equal or exceed the NSS Requirement established annually by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (MA Education Reform Act of 1993).
