It takes quite a team to support the smooth running and continuous improvement of the wide range of services on offer at Badgemore Park. It’s all too easy to think that everything happens by magic, but that is simply not the case. From the management team providing strategy and direction to the back-of-house teams that often go unrecognised, they all combine to make the member and visitor experience the pleasure that all enjoy. There is also more to Badgemore than golf. The impressive offering here also includes a boutique gym, weddings and events, the Coach House bar and restaurant, B&B accommodation and serviced offices. Here we take a more detailed look at the team required to make Badgemore Park run efficiently and professionally in 2022. Management At the helm at Badgemore Park is managing director Jon Connell, with support from his wife Di as wellness director. More about Jon and Di can be read in the section The Connell Family. The business director at Badgemore Park is Marc Goodwin. After studying International Hospitality Management at the University of Surrey, Marc jumped directly into the golf world at Farleigh working his way up to food and beverage manager there. He first started working for the Connell family when he joined Badgemore Park’s sister club, The Drift, in 2015 as food and beverage manager before being promoted to general manager in 2017. The opportunity to take on the role of business director saw him move over to Badgemore

Park in 2019. This role sees him take responsibility for overseeing all aspects of the club.

Golf With golf continuing to be the major part of the business, it is important to have a strong golf team to deal with the many aspects that this side of the business entails. Whether it’s membership enquiries or queries, running golf competitions, society, corporate or visitor games, equipment shop sales or coaching, director of golf Martin Woodbridge and his team of three assistants look after it all. Customer care is always a big part of any leisure business and at Badgemore Park the importance of staff members going above and beyond to ensure members and visitors enjoy their time at the club is always at the forefront of the team’s thinking. Sales and events Badgemore Park’s wedding and event guests are expertly looked after by sales and events manager Carina Gauthier. Carina joined the Badgemore team in 2018 having previously held the position as front of house and member service manager with Virgin Active. She now not only looks after the weddings and events at Badgemore Park but efficiently oversees the gym membership sales team as well.
