THE BADGEMORE PARK HEAD GOLF PROFESSIONAL ROSTER FROM 1972
1992 – 2011 JONATHAN DUNN
2011 – 2014 GRAHAM FINCH
Jonathan first came to Badgemore when he was a junior member at Calcot but was being coached by Mark Howell. Jonathan arrived as a member of the team in 1986 as an assistant to Mark Howell. His golfing life began at eight years old and by the time he was 12 he played off single figures. He turned professional at age 17 and fully qualified from the PGA at the age of 21. After competing on the Challenge Tour for two seasons he went to the European Tour School twice, narrowly missing his card on both occasions.
Jonathan took over as head professional when Mark Wright left the club in 1992 and stayed in that role for almost 20 years before moving over to Sonning Golf Club. ‘Dunn in One’ – the name given to the 15th hole, is to mark the achievement of a hole in one by Jonathan. This was achieved by hitting a high fade with driver over the bank of trees shielding the green from the 15th tee. Jon was playing with members Keith Furmston and Wayne Knott at the time. Jonathan can add holes in one at the fourth and 13th to his albatross on 15!
Graham joined the Badgemore Team from local club Harleyford where he was head professional. This was Graham’s second stint at Badgemore as he had also been an assistant professional in the early 2000s, learning his trade from Jonathan Dunn. Prior to that he spent time at Stoke Park, as a qualified assistant professional at East Berks and was also the head professional at Blue Mountain golf club, where he originally met and worked with Dan Hawkins.
