PRESENTED BY: Renee Paddick in 1974, who was one of the club’s founding directors. THE KATY PLATER TROPHY AWARDED TO: The winner of a Stableford competition that is open to both five and seven-day members. YEARS PLAYED: 2003 to present. PRESENTED BY: The ladies committee in memory of club member Katy Plater who passed away from cystic fibrosis in 2003. Katy received the MBE for her fundraising, with over £250,000 raised for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. LADIES SENIORS SENIOR LADIES’ KNOCKOUT AWARDED TO: The winner of a singles match play knockout competition for ladies 55 and over. YEARS PLAYED: 1998 to present. PRESENTED BY: Sylvia Pugsley in 1998, at the time she was the five-day representative on the ladies committee.

PRESENTED BY: Keith Jones (who was the midweek/five-day committee chairman from 1996 to 2014) and the five-day committee in 2001. Although the competition had existed from 1991 (coincidently the year that Keith was 55), it did not have a winner’s trophy until 2001.

YEARS PLAYED: 1989 to present. PRESENTED BY: Theo Ziffo, at the time he was club captain in 1989 and club president from 2005 to 2008. MEN’S SENIORS THE DOUGLAS LOCK TROPHY AWARDED TO: The winner of a Midweek Seniors (55 and over) Stableford competition. YEARS PLAYED: 2000 to present. PRESENTED BY: Douglas Lock in 2000, who at the time was the oldest playing member of the club. Douglas died at the age of 96 in 2004 and was still playing golf until two weeks before he passed away. JONES CUP SENIORS KO AWARDED TO: The winner of the Midweek Seniors (55 and over) Winter Singles Knockout competition. YEARS PLAYED: 1997 to present.

JUBILEE BOWL AWARDED TO: The competitor (29-54 handicap) with the best two net stroke play scores from the April, May and June Medals and open to both five and seven-day members. Originally the handicap limit was 29-36. YEARS PLAYED: 1977 to present. PRESENTED BY: Barbara Ponting in 1977 at the end of her two-year term (1975 and 1976) as lady captain, to commemorate the Queen’s Silver Jubilee on 7 June 1977. LADIES CHAMPIONSHIPS AND LYNDON TROPHY LADIES CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDED TO: The winner of a 36 hole scratch stroke play competition, played over two

Jean was also lady club champion in 1978. LYNDON TROPHY AWARDED TO: The player (who is not the club champion) with the best net stroke play card over 36 holes in the Club Championship. YEARS PLAYED: 1990 to present. PRESENTED BY: Audrey Whittaker at the time she was lady captain in 1990, in memory of her son Lyndon who had died suddenly.
