Also, kitchens with seating at the island can often be perceived as utilitarian workspace, not entertaining or dining space, and kitchens with bar-style seating can cut the cook off from the party all together. Whereas an eat-in kitchen design with an actual table in the center of the kitchen creates a sense of “formality” to it keeping it functional yet inviting to all. DRESSING IT DOWN This creates a homework or craft environment for kids while parents are in the kitchen working. The actual table is large and open, which is a draw for families to spread out and work together. With so much technology taking away from family time, the eat-in kitchen is the perfect solution to bring conversation back into the home. Cabinets are built into each end of a large table. One end houses the kitchen sink and dishwasher while the other end consists of cabinet space for storage. The table itself can be designed to seat as many or as few seats as the kitchen space will allow. The height of the table is a standard table height, which is around 28-30 inches. This design is unique, functional, and affordable to install.
