TAPPI Highlights Networking Events At CorrExpo 2023
TAPPI has announced a host of networking events that are in store for the CorrExpo 2023 show on August 28-30 at the Huntington Convention Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Golf — To kick off the event in good fashion, golfers will tee off at 9 a.m. Monday for the Corrugated Classic Golf Tournament at the Sleepy Hollow Golf Course. Buses will depart from the Hilton, Marriott and the Westin hotels. The Sleepy Hollow course offers beautiful views of the Cuyahoga River Valley and was named one of Golfweek’s top five courses in Ohio. Originally opening in 1924 as a private country club, the course has a classic “out and in” layout and has been the site for many amateur and professional tournaments, in-
cluding qualifying events for USGA championships. The Welcome Reception — The opening reception at
CorrExpo — from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the Hilton Cleveland — will set the stage for the exciting and informative event to follow. This is your chance to meet and mingle be- fore the meetings, presentations, keynotes and exhibit hall show officially start. Meet at the Hilton Cleveland Downtown in Hope Ballroom E. Open bar and hors d’oeuvres provided. Exhibit Hall Receptions – The exhib- it hall receptions will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Huntington Con- vention Center. Young Professionals Reception – The Young Professionals will have a round of speed networking from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Huntington Convention Center. Each table will have hosts to facili- tate conversations on specific topics. After six minutes, a timer goes off, and attendees are asked to rotate to another topic and ta- ble. Topics include Women in Industry, Ask an Industry Expert, Workforce Develop- ment, Career Growth, TAPPI Mentor Match, and TAPPI membership. Rock & Roll Hall of Fame – Join your colleagues for some of the greatest hits of all time during a special playlist event at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. Buses depart from the Hunting- ton Convention Center of Cleveland, Hilton, Marriott & Westin. All food and bar are in- cluded with conference registration. Addi- tional guest tickets are $100 per person. Spouses/companions are invited to go on a tour of the Cleveland Museum of Art on Tuesday followed by a stop at the house featured in the film, "A Christmas Story." Register at correxpo.org .
