Engineered as a direct bolt-on maximum performance head for 289-351W engines. EDE60229 is compatible with OEM style pistons, while EDE60259 requires notched after- market pistons. Manufactured in the USA, by Edelbrock, these heads feature A356 aluminum castings that are heat treated to T-6 spec for superior casting strength and quality. Their modern combustion chamber designs improve the combustion process and larger than stock intake and exhaust ports move more air through your engine. These features improve an engine's efficiency, resulting in more horsepower and torque and improved mileage potential. Edelbrock SCCA American Sedan Series A356 bare aluminum heads is heat treated to T6 specs and fitted with manganese-bronze valve guides, one-piece stainless valves, powdered metal valve seats and Heli-Coil threaded inserts in the exhaust and rocker stud holes. Head requires final sizing of the valve guides and a valve job prior to installation.
