Wildlife and Birdcare are a Department for Education (DFE) licensed training provider for the SEND sector. Our Communi - ty Interest statement is as follows: ‘Wildlife and Birdcare Nature recovery project is unique in its approach to providing work opportunities and employment for people with learning disabilities and those with diverse needs’. Working in partnership with other stakeholders we take our passion, love and the critical need to save nature and extend that passion, to people. We recognise that some people need a nurturing environment in which to excel. For those who have skills and interest in our range of production areas, they will be supported to develop and enhance their work skills ultimately paving the way into supported paid employment’.

WBC - Wildlife and Birdcare Nature Recovery Project is a certified Social Enterprise a ‘Business for Good’. In our workshop in Stoke-on-Trent we teach and support individuals with additional needs, a learning disability and autism. Here we teach industry, life, social and therapeu - tic on-the-job work training. Here our young people can experience real demanding work tasks in a controlled, supported work environment, where daily deadlines are a constant demand. Our training centre offers carpentry, printing, merchandise and clothing manufacturing, packing, retail and logistics.
